“ PHENOMENAL. Seriously so good. The vibe was immaculate, food was spectacular, and service was like family. We brought our one year old with us and they provided us with a highchair and crayons, he got to color on the table cloth (it’s like a craft paper overlay they put on). It felt very welcoming to families. Our server was so nice and knowledgeable (I forget her name but she was blonde!). The owner himself was even helping out which is so cool to see. Love it and will definitely come back! We drove about 30 minutes to dine here and it was well worth it. ”
“ Took my fiance here last night for his birthday and had a wonderful meal and experience! The restaurant is cozy and quiet even when it’s busy, the servers and (I think the owner?) were really lovely an attentive. The burrata with peas was absolutely to die for. We will definitely be back! ”
“ We drive almost an hour to where we know we will always have an amazing experience. This is our favorite Italian spot! Must try the house made Lemoncello Martini! If you are lucky to get to try what is special that nite, you will always be impressed!! I had a Lamb, Gnocci, with the most delightful red sauce pasta dish..... DEVOURED IT!! We always get the Fritto Misto (the fried breaded lemons and breading is amazing!!!) as an appetizer. Make sure to try the Butterscotch Pudding!! DEVINE!!! Everything TOP NOTCH!! THANK YOU ACENA :) ”
“ We loved the food here. Good pasta portions and good vibes. This place was more low key and very homey. Excellent service. We ordered 6 desserts and it was hard to decide which one was our favorite. Hands down the best tiramisu I’ve had in Portland. Parking wasn’t difficult to find either. We can’t wait to come back and try something new. ”
“ We came back last night after our first visit about a year ago. We were even happier this visit than last time! The food was incredible staring with our arancini appetizer-WOW! Then I had the rigatoni Americana which was so flavorful and the pasta cooked to perfection! My wife had the special ravioli and loved it. And then topped it off with a cannoli for dessert Also the service was very good! This is our new favorite Italian restaurant in the metro area! ”
“ One of Portland’s classic neighborhood restaurants, A Cena seems to have weathered Covid and stayed healthy. Our server gave us sound recommendations without being pushy. Given his suggestions we ordered the house special of gnocchi and sashimi antipasti special. Both were delish. We had a nice corner table which afforded some privacy and room to spread out. All is good at A Cena. ”
“ Absolutely , wow, wow, wow, Chris (owner) was superb from greetings opening the door to service, checking on everyone, it was very nice to see. The bartender gentleman was amazing , I ordered coffee he graciously made for me as my partner got a limoncello martini, Thank you! Our service lady Kathryn muah your amazingness. Watching everyone's attention to detail servicing everyone like a well oiled machine. (Those are hard to come by these days) I'm in the industry, so I see a lot... Thanks everyone for everything The food was "chefs kiss" amazing and best hands down fresh flavorful... lick the plate & fingers grand! What a great friday nite date night! ”
“ 5s across the board. Food was amazing, service was incredible. I think there is outdoor seating but the vibe inside is so good it doesn’t matter where you sit. Recommend the beet salad, the steak, and the pesto radiatori. The was also a tuna carpaccio special that was incredible in both flavor and presentation. ”
